Pregnancy Testing

An unplanned pregnancy can understandably be a daunting experience, given its potential impact on your life. This is why it’s crucial to recognize the symptoms and undergo a pregnancy test. By doing so, you can approach your next steps equipped with the essential knowledge to make an informed choice.

We offer free and confidential pregnancy testing to assist you in exploring your options and determining your subsequent actions.

Ultrasounds

If you receive a positive pregnancy test, our nurse will inquire about your medical history to assess your eligibility for an ultrasound and arrange its scheduling. Typically conducted between 8 and 12 weeks of pregnancy, this ultrasound indicates the gestational progress and offers vital health information for both the mother and the fetus.

Peer Counseling & Referrals

An unplanned pregnancy often raises many concerns, such as finding and paying for medical care.

This uncertainty can feel overwhelming. However, 1st Choice is here to help and can connect you with organizations that provide assistance for housing, groceries, WIC, Medicaid, childcare, job placement, and more.

Classes

1st Choice is delighted to provide a diverse range of classes for both women and men in the Texarkana area. Our sessions are led by experienced and compassionate staff and volunteers.

We genuinely aspire for these classes to assist you in preparing for parenthood and to empower you to be a successful parent when your child arrives. Feel free to call or visit us to register online.
