If you're wondering, “what should I do if my girlfriend is pregnant?”, we want you to know that at 1st Choice, we believe it’s crucial for you to take an active part in the decision-making journey.

What Are Your Options?

 Often, men experiencing an unplanned pregnancy have questions like these.


Finding answers to these questions is important, but let’s start with the last one first: yes, your opinion is highly valuable. In fact, outside of the woman herself, your opinion can carry as much weight as anyone, as many women in this situation look to their partners as a source of support.

More than anything, it is important that you continue to communicate with your girlfriend or wife throughout this process. You may have differing thoughts and feelings regarding the pregnancy, but working through those differences is crucial. It may ultimately be her choice regarding the pregnancy, but it is likely that your opinion matters to her, and could factor into her decision.

However, if you do not feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings on your own, or if you are having trouble sorting through all the options, we encourage you to schedule an appointment in our Center to meet with one of our staff or volunteers. Also, we offer a Daddies Only class that meets on Thursdays at 5:30.
